Kamala Harris supporter and Long Beach, Calif. Mayor, Robert Garcia, will be making several stops in western Iowa over the weekend on a campaign tour for the Democratic presidential primary candidate. Garcia serves as co-chair for Harris’ California campaign and will focus on her record of standing up for Americans and her stance on issues important to the Latinx community. On Sunday, July 21, he will attend the morning mass at the Cathedral of the Epiphany Church in Sioux City, followed by coffee with constituents at Jitters Coffee Shop at 11:45 a.m. His final stop in Sioux City will be a meeting with Woodbury County Democrats at 2 p.m. at the Riverside Park Shelter. Garcia then heads to Storm Lake to have dinner with Latinx leaders from the surrounding areas. On Monday, July 22, he will be at the Family Table in Denison for breakfast with Lantinx leaders at 9:30 a.m. Garcia finishes his Iowa tour that afternoon in Des Moines for lunch with members of the Asian and Latino Coalition at 1 p.m.
