For the second time in two years, local band, Wild Ambition, is on the list of acts scheduled to play at Shellabration in Fort Dodge. The artists planned for the June 8 concert include Sammy Hagar and the Circle, featuring former Van Halen bassist, Michael Anthony, guitarist, Vic Johnson and Led Zepplin drummer, Jason Bonham. Motley Crue’s lead singer, Vince Neil will also be taking the stage during Shellabration. Bill Brown of Glidden, the guitarist, keyboardist and vocalists for the band, says Wild Ambition is thrilled to be in the lineup again, especially after inclement weather prevented them from taking the stage last year.
Brown and his bandmates, drummer, Bobby Carter of Glidden, bass guitarist, Al Lohr of Lohrville, lead singer, Leah Preul of Arcadia, and lead guitar player, Rod Bramble of Newell, will be the opening act at Shellabration. It is Wild Ambition job to make sure the energy is high right from the start of the concert, and Brown says they will not have a problem doing so with the set list they have planned.
In addition to being excited to play at such a large venue, the band is really looking forward to playing with some of the musicians they listened to growing up. Brown says the Full Circle Tour is truly coming full circle for the group.
