Trial information was filed in District Court for Carroll County against a Lidderdale man accused of stealing equipment from a local convenience store. Court records say 35-year-old Craig Douglas Vanosdol has been formally charged with one count of third-degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor. The charge stems from an incident on April 30 at Sparky’s on Highway 30 East in Carroll. He allegedly stole a product scanner worth more the $500 from the store. Vanosdol has a history of theft dating as far back as 2003. His criminal record includes four felony convictions for theft in Kent County, Del. An aggravated misdemeanor carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison and $6,250 in fines. An arraignment hearing is slated to be held on Thursday, June 27 at the Carroll County Courthouse.
