The culture divide between generations can be tricky to navigate, but the Audubon County Sheriff’s Office and the Audubon Police Department have developed a creative educational experience to help parents, guardians and other adults bridge that gap. The “What You Don’t See” mobile trailer is set up to look like a typical teenager’s bedroom. It, however, also houses paraphernalia, imagery on signs and clothing and tips on common hiding spots. This can help otherwise unsuspecting adults to understand what they are seeing and what it means. Tours of the trailer, the dispatch/911 center, the jail and a patrol vehicle can be easily scheduled online through the link included below. All individuals interested in attending tours on Nov. 12, 13 or 14 must be 18 or older. If you have any questions or cannot register online, please call the Sheriff’s Office at 712-563-2631 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
