Lake View Officials Hope To Have Library Expansion Out To Bid By The End Of October

The Lake View City Council is moving closer to making a proposed $365,000 addition to the community’s public library a reality. Administrator, Scott Peterson, updated the council on the project during their meeting on Monday, Aug. 19. He told city officials they are yet to finalize their plans to extend the library by about 40 feet on the east side of the existing building. This added space will allow the library to host new and existing programs and can also be used as a public meeting space. Peterson is optimistic they will have plans finalized in about a month and ready to go out for bid in October. If everything goes to plan, a formal groundbreaking is expected sometime in the spring of 2020.
