The Kuemper School System’s Parent’s Club, according to President, John Steffes, has done a phenomenal job of fundraising and planning opportunities for families to gather together for fun events. One of these is planned for this Friday night.
He says they have chairs, but everyone is invited to bring pillows and blankets and lounge in the new field house to view the movie with friends. The group is also wrapping up an annual fundraiser that has evolved from sales into something that not only raises money, but also encourages wellness in the students.
Just through those pledges and sponsorships, the kids raised over $24,000, and they had a great time doing many different fun activities.
Those kids who have gone above and beyond will get the opportunity to select a volunteer teacher and hit them in the face with a pie. They have also invited a guest speaker for a special assembly.
That assembly will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the High School gymnasium.
