Administrators at the Kuemper Catholic School System continued their annual tradition of welcoming students and staff back to class on Friday with a “run” through the halls on the first day of school. Starting at 8:10 a.m. at the St. Lawrence Center, President, John Steffes, Principal, Ted Garringer, and new Kuemper Chaplain, Father Patrick Behm, were led by a drummer and cheerleaders through the student-lined hallways to celebrate the start of the 2019-20 school year, high-fiving the kids as they went by. The group then traveled to Holy Spirit Elementary and the St. Angela Center to welcome the students at those buildings.
