Iowa Lottery Suspends Play Of Game After Duplicates Are Issued

The Iowa Lottery has suspended sales of an InstaPlay game after being notified of a vendor glitch. On Sunday, 28 duplicate plays were sold in a 25-minute span. “The number of affected players and tickets in this situation may be modest, but you simply cannot put a price on doing the right thing,” says CEO Matt Strawn. The “Cherry Twist Progressive InstaPlay” game appears to be the only Iowa Lottery product affected. Sales were suspended at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday and will remain so for an indeterminate period. Of the 28 duplicates sold, eight were winners, totaling $23. The Iowa Lottery wants to hear from anyone who may have been impacted by the situation. Those with questions can contact them through the methods detailed with below.
