The early onset of wintery weather has many people looking toward the holidays, and Manning Hausbarn-Heritage Park will be getting everyone into the spirit on Sunday, Dec. 1. The doors at the Konferenz Centre will open at 11 a.m. for the second annual Sounds of Christmas performance. The event will be raising funds for the parks iconic historical Trinity Church and kick off with family-friendly activities. There will be pictures with Santa by the fireplace, a bake sale, craft vendors, a make-and-take activity for kids and art and music provided by the IKM-Manning fine arts programs. The Hausbarn Gift Shop will also be open. The main feature will begin at 3 p.m. at Trinity Church, followed by hot chocolate and cookies at the Konferenz Centre. There is no charge for the event, but donations will be accepted and will benefit the park, the fine arts programs and other artistic ventures.
