Several area communities spent much of 2019 in celebration of 150th incorporation anniversaries. The City of Carroll saw a one million dollar gift of the Commercial Savings Bank building on Adams Street open as home to the new City Hall and the Carroll Public Library made strides in their renovation with a plan to open in early 2020. The new Carroll County jail project overcame some hurdles and construction began at the end of this year while adjacent counties worked on similar plans for their futures. Our listeners have also been active in 2019, providing input and opinion on many of the stories we have posted over the past 12 months—to the tune of nearly 2.3 million interactions on the Carroll Broadcasting website. And though they don’t always agree on the content, the articles they chose to read and pass along told a story to our news department.
