The 2019 grant application cycle is now open for the Refresh Manning Trust Fund. Non-profit and 501(c)3 organizations that are headquartered within the Manning city limits are eligible to apply by Tuesday, Dec. 3. Award winners will be announced in late December and checks will be presented in January of 2020. More information on eligibility and grant applications can be found through the link included below. Previous grant recipients include the Manning Child Care Center, Manning Rec Center, IKM-Manning Community School District, Trestle Park, Hausbarn-Heritage Park, the shared wrestling program and many more. Since its inception in 2012, donors have been making a dramatic impact on Manning’s future generations with 100 percent of their contributions going back to the community. Anyone with an interest in Manning’s future prosperity is encouraged to donate a minimum of $100 to the fund and potentially receive a 25 percent credit on their Iowa taxes and federal benefits up to 64 percent. Donations can included farmland or real estate, stocks and bonds, grain, life insurance and 401k required minimum distributions.
