Gov. Kim Reynolds and Lt. Gov., Adam Gregg, will be attending a special event in Sac City this coming Friday as Sac becomes the 93rd Home Base Iowa county. Lake View Mayor, John Westergaard will provide welcoming comments, followed by remarks from both Reynolds and Gregg. Other speakers will include Director of Human Services at Loring Hospital, Gary Eischeid, and Laurie Kluver, a Sac County Veterans representative. Following the 4:30 p.m. event at East Sac County Middle School in Sac City, there will be a photo session and reception. Home Base Iowa’s mission is to provide veterans and transitioning service members, as well as their families, with the opportunities and benefits to make Iowa their home.
