Glidden Library Invites Patrons To Blanket-Making Party For Kids With Rare Medical Conditions

Patrons of the Glidden Public Library are invited to try their hand a making their own blankets this weekend and will have the option to donate their handmade crafts to children with complex medical conditions. Interested individuals will gather in the library meeting room at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23 and assemble their creations with other participants. The only requirement to attend is to bring at least two pieces of 1.5-yard fabric. This is only enough material for one blanket. However, people can bring additional fabric if they would like to make more. The blankets can be taken home or left at the library to be donated to Gillette Children Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, Minn., which provides personalized treatment for patients with rare and challenging diseases. You can learn more about Gillette by following the link included with this story on our website.
