Fun Is The Focus For Wednesday’s Fourth Annual Senior Fun Day

Wednesday will mark the fourth annual Senior Fun Day at the Carroll Rec Center, and organizers are excited to be bringing an informative day to area seniors. Michelle Klocke with Regency Park says they will once again begin with a special ceremony.

Amber Holm with Carroll’s Elderbridge Agency on Aging says in addition to some fun and games, like Bingo, there are many guests who will be on hand to help the seniors with a broad spectrum of needs.

And according to Jane Lawler with Carroll Area Nursing, they want to help attendees protect their privacy and get answers to some of their technological questions.

Klocke adds they want to put the emphasis on fun, so everyone can expect to have a great time throughout the 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. event. There is no charge to attend Senior Fun Day, but the organizers are asking for a donation of non-perishable items. These will be collected and distributed to the local food pantry. Door prizes will be given out throughout the morning and a final grand prize will be drawn at the conclusion of the event. All attendees are also invited to stay afterward for a meal from Congregate Meals for a suggested donation of between $5 and $7. To sign up for a meal, please call 792-3058 before 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
