While continuing to travel Iowa’s 4th Congressional District, Democratic candidate, J.D. Scholten will be taking a brief break for a different type of competition. Scholten and 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate, Andrew Yang, will be facing off at the Ames Community Center today (Thursday) at noon for a friendly basketball game. Following that, Scholten will continue his “Don’t Forget About Us” tour, returning to the Carroll Broadcasting listening area with a town hall in Churdan Monday, Dec. 16. The event will begin at 5 p.m. in the Churdan Community Room, located on the back side of the fire station. The public is invited to attend and ask questions of Scholten as he works his way through the 39 counties in the 4th District, focusing on communities with populations of 1,000 or less.
