Federal And State Leaders Coming Together In Iowa Today To Discuss USMCA

State and Federal politicians will be coming together in Iowa to discuss the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) later today (Wednesday). Vice President, Mike Pence, will be joined by U.S. Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst and Gov. Kim Reynolds at Manning Farms in Waukee. The event is designed to take a closer look at the benefits of the agreement and what this could mean for Iowa and the rest of the nation. The goals of the USMCA are to create a more level playing field for American workers, modernizing and strengthening agriculture, thereby benefiting farmers, ranchers and agribusinesses, supporting a 21st Century economy and protecting intellectual property and regulatory practices for optimizing digital trade and fighting corruption. House Democrats have yet to support the agreement that was signed by President Trump and the leaders of Mexico and Canada almost one year ago.
