Farnhamville Man Arrested On Drug Charges In Sac County Traffic Stop

A traffic stop near Auburn results in the arrest of a Farnhamville man on drug charges. The Sac County Sheriff’s Office reports that at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Amy Lynne Taylor of Farnhamville was stopped at the intersection of Xenia Street and Highway 175. Taylor had a suspended license and a further investigation of the vehicle uncovered two open alcohol containers. The Sac County K-9 was brought in to conduct a search and indicated to the presence of controlled substances. The passenger, 62-year-old Paul Coon, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, approximately 3.3 grams of marijuana, 1.5 grams of methamphetamine and a knife with a blade exceeding eight inches in length. Coon was taken into custody and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and open container, both simple misdemeanors, possession of marijuana and methamphetamine, both serious misdemeanors, and carrying weapons, an aggravated misdemeanor. He was booked into the Sac County jail on a $4,300 bond.
