An 11-year-old male from Lakeside was arrested on Tuesday after threatening a school shooting. The Storm Lake Police Department received a report that the middle school student had said on Snapchat he was going to conduct the shooting on Wednesday, May 8. At approximately 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, the juvenile was taken into custody and charged with terroristic threats, a class D felony. A consent search of the home was conducted and no weapons were found. The case has been forwarded to the juvenile courts.
