Democratic Presidential Candidate, Beto O’Rourke, will be returning to Iowa on the campaign trail later this week. His four-day visit includes stops in Carroll and Denison. O’Rourke’s trip begins at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3 with a town hall meeting at the Memorial Union on the Iowa State University campus. On Thursday, he will hold meet-and-greets in Carroll at Kerp’s Tavern from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Cronk’s Café in Denison at from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. before heading to Morningside College in Sioux City for a town hall at 5 p.m. His Friday schedule shows a planned meet-and-greet in Storm Lake at 8:30 a.m., followed by a stop in Fort Dodge at noon, Marshalltown at 3:15 p.m. and Grinnell College at 5 p.m. He will spend Saturday attending neighborhood-level house parties throughout Des Moines. The tour’s final stop is at 11 a.m. on Sunday at the University of Iowa Memorial Union in Iowa City. O’Rourke officially kicked off his campaign over the weekend and highlighted his intent to challenge special interest groups, overhaul immigration laws and implement criminal justice reform and universal healthcare.
