The City of Coon Rapids, Coon Rapids-Bayard FFA Chapter and Coon Rapids Mighty Clovers 4-H Club are hosting a Mother’s Day perennial flower sale this weekend. New landscaping is scheduled to be completed in the community’s downtown over the summer, and volunteers will be on Main Street digging up and selling the plants from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. A wide variety of ornamental plants will be available, including 15 different colors of daylilies, blazing stars, German pavement roses, hostas, tulips and daffodils. The flowers are not individually priced, and interested individuals are asked to provide a freewill donation. All proceeds from Saturday’s sale will benefit the CR-B FFA Chapter and Mighty Clovers 4-H Group.
