Coon Rapids Man Charged With Child Endangerment And DUI For Aug. 27 Crash Sentenced To Four Days In Jail

A Coon Rapids man accused of crashing his truck while intoxicated with a child inside has been ordered to serve time in the Carroll County jail. Carroll County District Court records say 23-year-old Brian Patrick Anthofer was sentenced to 60 days incarceration with all but four days suspended and credit for time served on Friday after pleading guilty to child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor, and first-offense operating under the influence, a serious misdemeanor. He was also ordered to pay nearly $1,700 in fines and surcharges. Anthofer was placed on probation for one year and must complete a state-approved drinking driver’s course. He was arrested on Aug. 27 by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office following a single-vehicle rollover accident on 320th Street a mile northwest of Coon Rapids. Anthofer and a 14-month-old passenger were treated for suspected minor injuries following the incident.
