The City of Westside has issued a bottled water advisory for residents on the community’s water supply. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a bottled water or “do not drink” advisory is different from a typical boil order, as boiling tap water will not make it safe to drink. Officials stress that water from the system should not be consumed in any manner while the order is active. This includes drinking, cooking, making ice, preparing food, brushing teeth or washing dishes. This bottled water advisory will remain in effect until further notice. Questions can be directed to Westside City Hall at 712-663-4493. Authorities will notify Carroll Broadcasting as soon as the advisory is lifted.
