The pool of candidates vying for the open Carroll Community School District (CCSD) superintendent position was narrowed down to seven last night (Tuesday). The Board of Education met with Trent Grundmeyer from Grundmeyer Leader Services to go over the 22 applicants received and reviewed them based on their qualifications, experience and fit for the district. The next step for the board is to hold screening interviews with the remaining candidates, which is scheduled for Monday, April 8. Prior to the interviews, they will briefly meet in open session to hold the Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 budget hearing and to discuss next year’s school calendar. Finalists will be announced after the April 8 meeting, with the last stage of interviews to be held on Thursday, April 18.
