The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) is inviting the community to a seminar early next week to learn more about behavioral and mental health issues facing families and students. On Tuesday, Jan. 15, Certified Behavior Analyst and Rage to Reason Program Director, Amy Buie, will teach attendees how to handle everything from small conflicts over household chores to intense incidents of disobedience. According to Superintendent, Dr. Kevin Lein, “Schools and communities have always grappled with mental health and misconduct, but it seems there are more intense events in recent history.” Buie’s program utilizes rational and applicable methods to create a school and community focused on a culture of respect and civility. The session begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Carroll High School auditorium and is expected to end around 6:45 p.m. The public is encouraged and invited to attend.
