CCSD Board Of Education To Begin Search For Interim Superintendent At Monday Night’s Meeting

The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education will begin discussions on selecting an interim superintendent at their meeting on Monday. The district has been without a lead administrator since Feb. 7, when Dr. Kevin Lein submitted his notice of resignation to the board. Approximately half of the 90 minute meeting has been set aside to determine who will serve as superintendent while the board undergoes its search for a replacement. Officials have indicated they will likely utilize the Heartland Area Education Agency to provide a suitable substitute in the meantime. The board will also discuss the creation of a Student Information Specialist position, hear budget update reports and consider the continuation of a land lease for the Carroll-Area FFA Chapter with the City of Carroll. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18 at the Adams Elementary School boardroom. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
