The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education meets next week for their annual organizational meeting. According to Superintendent, Dr. Casey Berlau, there will be a quick meeting prior to the regular one to resolve some unfinished business before swearing in the three newly elected board members.
With these final items resolved, Board Secretary, Gary Bengtson, will then call the organizational meeting to order. Berlau says they will need to administer the oath of office to the members elected on Nov. 5, Karen Friedlein, Onica Ulveling and Cindy Johnson, and appoint officers and committees for the coming year.
There are only a few items of regular business for the new board. Berlau says they plan to introduce the first reading of 19 new or updated board policies, select the district’s depositories and review bids.
The board convenes at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18 in the boardroom at Adams Elementary School. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. A link to the full agenda can be found included with this story on our website.
