A Manning man has been offered and accepted a position as an IT technician for Carroll County. At Monday morning’s Board of Supervisors meeting, the group voted unanimously to approve the hiring of Dalton J. Morrison for the position, in which he will work with current IT Director, Carl Wilburn. Wilburn is expected to resign and enter into retirement in December of 2020. At that time, the board will determine if Morrison will transition into the director’s position. Morrison is currently employed locally, at Computer Concepts of Iowa, and has experience in working with servers and subnets, troubleshooting and problem solving as well as configuring of domains and much more. He also took courses at Iowa Central Community College towards a dual major in computer networking and computer repair. He graduated in July of this year. Morrison will begin his duties with the county on Monday, Sept. 30.
