Carroll PD Witnesses Drug Sale, Resulting In Carroll Man’s Arrest For Drug Trafficking

A Carroll man has been arrested for drug trafficking after officers with the Carroll Police Department witnessed the transaction take place. According to Carroll County District Court records, 36-year-old Kevin Marcus Moore was taken into custody last week on a controlled substance violation, a class C felony. The charge stems from an incident on Tuesday, July 16 in the 500 block of East 18th Street. A criminal complaint states Moore is accused of selling two MDMA pills, more commonly known as ecstasy, at approximately 3 p.m. to the buyer. He was confronted by law enforcement immediately after the sale and transported to the Carroll County jail. Moore was released from custody on his own recognizance after appearing before a magistrate. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 15 at the Carroll County Courthouse. A class C felony carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.
