Carroll PD Responds To Two Accidents Tuesday Afternoon

The Carroll Police Department responded to two accidents Tuesday afternoon. The first call came in at approximately 1:27 p.m. at 4th and Main Streets. A 2014 GMC Acadia, driven by 79-year-old Carol Albertsen of Audubon, was southbound on Main but stopped for a train. Another southbound vehicle, a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix that was driven by 15-year-old Emma Boes of Carroll, failed to stop for traffic and struck the Albertsen car. Functional damage was sustained by both vehicles but no injuries were reported. Boes was cited for failure to maintain control. The second accident occurred at 2:56 p.m. in the 400 block of South Grant Road. Seventeen-year-old Evan Brincks of Carroll was stopped behind construction equipment in a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer. Another teenager, 16-year-old Brianna Lux of Arcadia, was behind Brincks in a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica and failed to stop in time to avoid striking the rear of the Blazer. No injuries were reported in this incident either, but both vehicles sustained significant damage. Lux was warned for failure to maintain control.
