A Carroll man led officers on a brief foot pursuit Monday as they attempted to serve an Illinois warrant. Carroll police officers were dispatched to a location in the 800 block of West 8th Street at approximately 5:29 p.m. When they made contact with 25-year-old Anthony Fields on the warrant for probation revocation, he fled. He was apprehended quickly and is now facing an added charge of interference with official acts. Fields is being held in the Carroll County jail awaiting extradition to Illinois.
