The Carroll McDonald’s celebrated the grand opening of their newly redesigned and modernized lobby yesterday afternoon (Thursday). Representatives from the Carroll Chamber of Commerce and community leaders joined the owner, Kevin O’Brien, at the location to mark the occasion. According to O’Brien, guests will now have a very different experience when visiting the Carroll restaurant.
Work began on the updates in mid-March, and the dining room was closed for nearly a month while the renovations were completed. O’Brien recently purchased the restaurant in August of last year, and he says there were several reasons for overhauling their newly acquired location.
The changes are not limited to just the layout and décor. They have also installed ordering kiosks in the lobby, which will hopefully eliminate the need to stand in line to order food. Former Chamber of Commerce President, Jair Mayhall, was one of the first to use the new system.
To celebrate the changes, the Carroll McDonald’s will donate 50 cents for every self-service kiosk transaction through May 12 to Carroll County New Opportunities. O’Brien notes the added dining features require the creation of several new jobs, and the restaurant is actively hiring. Details on how to apply can be found on our website.
