The trial for a Carroll man accused of having sexual contact with a minor is scheduled for later this week. According to Carroll County District Court records, 19-year-old Devon Dewaine Lentz is charged with lascivious acts with a child, a class C felony, and is slated to appear before a jury on Tuesday, Nov. 19. The charge stems from an investigation by the Carroll Police Department into an incident on May 6. Authorities allege Lentz went to the home of the 12-year-old female victim, kissed her on the lips, and engaged in indecent sexual contact. The trial was originally planned for Oct. 22 but was delayed due to a scheduling conflict with a forensic investigator who will testify during the case. If found guilty, Lentz faces up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
