A Carroll man was arrested Wednesday evening after he allegedly threatened another man with a knife. At approximately 2:27 p.m., the Carroll Police Department responded to a home in the 900 block of Salinger Avenue on a report 28-year-old Brice Edward Shrimpton was threatening violence. Witnesses reported Shrimpton was upset that the victim, Jeffrey John Lloyd Trusty of Denison, was at the property. A criminal complaint indicates Shrimpton was shouting expletives at Trusty while holding a knife. He denies holding a knife but did admit to having a screwdriver with him at the time. No injuries were reported during the incident, but Shrimpton was taken into custody and transported to the Carroll County jail, where he was charged with assault, a simple misdemeanor.
