The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the reported theft of cash and a gun from a Breda residence last week. On July 9, Nadine Phyllis Mathews told the deputy that at some time between 11:13 a.m. on July 2 and 11:14 a.m. on July 7, $4,000 in cash and a 25 caliber silver handgun with wooden grips, valued at $200, was taken from an apartment on North 3rd Street. No arrests have been made in this incident.
