Carroll Council To Review Change Order On Library And City Hall Projects At Alternate Location Monday Night

The Carroll City Council will be meeting at an alternate location on Monday, April 8. The Carroll Community School District Board of Education will be holding a meeting on Monday night in their Adams Street board room, requiring the council to convene their 5:15 p.m. meeting at the Carroll High School media center on North Grant Road. City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, says that in addition to the annual Arbor Day proclamation and being named a Tree City USA Community, the council will be getting a special update from the Carroll Fire Department.

There will also be another change order for the Carroll Public Library and City Hall project for council members to review.

The amount to be drawn out of the contingency budget for change order number three will total $86,606. Pogge-Weaver explains some of the items on the list of changes. He says the mother’s room and the family restroom, which were added after the initial plans were approved, comprise more than $32,000 of that total. They have also found an issue with a water main in the front of the Farner Government Building that is in a foundation which needs to be removed.

This will now require fire suppression in the police garage, which is also a positive safety measure. The public is invited to attend Monday’s meeting, and a link to the full packet of information can be found below.
