Both Drivers Sustain Injuries In Wednesday Accident Near Glidden

Both drivers were transported for treatment of injuries received in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon west of Glidden. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on U.S. Highway 30 at the Merle Hay Cemetery at approximately 3:35 p.m. A 2008 Cadillac DTS sedan, driven by 67-year-old Barbara Jane Bunnell of Glidden, was eastbound on Highway 30 and attempting to turn north into the cemetery drive. Her vehicle was struck in the passenger side by 63-year-old Larry Allen Folk of Carroll, who was driving a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. Bunnell and Folk were both transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services. There was an estimated $5,000 in damage to the Cadillac and $2,000 in damage to the minivan. Bunnell was cited for failure to yield upon a left turn.
