Audubon County Public Health, Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics and several other local agencies have joined together to conduct a community health needs assessment. The brief survey will ask questions that will gauge residents’ perception of healthcare in the region and identify what they believe to be the area’s most pressing medical issues. Participants will also be asked about what types of services they would like to see implemented at the county’s healthcare providers. Responses to the survey are kept completely confidential, and it can be completed online through the link included with this story on our website. Paper copies can be found at several locations throughout the community, including the Audubon and Exira clinics and Audubon County Public Health Office. The survey will remain open to residents through Friday, Sept. 6. Once the data has be collected and analyzed, a community forum will be scheduled in the fall to review the results and develop a long-term plan to improve health and wellness outcomes for Audubon County residents.
