Auction On Carroll County Farmland Is Saturday And Date For Finalizing Sale Will Be Set At Monday’s Supervisor Meeting

Saturday morning at 10 a.m., the Carroll County-owned roughly 113-acre farm, north of Carroll on Mahogany Avenue, will be sold at public auction. Bidders will gather in the courtroom for the sale, but the ability to make it official will only come after a public hearing is set, published and held. If a bid exceeds the reserve minimum established for the sale to go through, on Monday, Dec. 16, at the regular meeting of the Carroll County Board of Supervisors, the date for that public meeting will be set. Other agenda items include several annual Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 funding requests for non-profit organizations within the county. Supervisors will hear from the Family Resource Center, Manning Child Care Center, the Historical Society, Breda Day Care Center, St. Anthony Regional Hospital and New Opportunities. The board will also hear from Carroll County Engineer, Dave Paulson, about a drain issue, approve plats and the FY 2019 cost allocation plan. The meeting is open to the public and will convene at 9 a.m. in the board room at the Carroll County Courthouse.
