As area farmers make headway in getting the crops out of the fields and grain into their bins, the Storm Lake Fire Department focused on specialized rescues. This past Saturday, Oct. 19, firefighters underwent Grain Bin Rescue training at the Storm Lake Fire Station. Props and instruction was provided by Professional Rescue Innovation. The department holds occasional weekend training sessions and routine drills and classes for their firefighters nearly every Tuesday evening throughout the year.
