An Arthur man was cited for leaving the scene of an accident this past Sunday. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene at approximately 9:14 a.m. on Aspen Avenue, near 130th Street, southwest of Breda. An initial investigation revealed that 39-year-old Jeffery Lynn Gann, Jr. was southbound on Aspen Avenue at approximately 2 a.m. when he lost control about a quarter mile north of 130th. The 2005 GMC Denali entered the east ditch and rolled, coming to rest on the passenger side of the vehicle. Gann reported possible minor injuries, but it is not known if he sought treatment. There was an estimated $4,000 in damage to the SUV and Gann was cited for failure to maintain control, failure to wear a seat belt and failure to report an accident with injuries.
