Arraignment Hearing Pushed Back For Carroll Man Accused Of Sexual Contact With A Minor

The arraignment hearing for a Carroll man accused of having sexual contact with a minor has been pushed back to next week. Nineteen-year-old Devon Dewaine Lentz, who faces one count of lascivious acts with a child, a class C felony, was originally scheduled to submit his plea by Thursday, Aug. 22. His arraignment hearing will now take place on Monday, Aug. 26 at the Carroll County Courthouse. The charge stems from an investigation by the Carroll Police Department, which found Lentz went to the 12-year-old female victim’s home on May 6, kissed her on the lips and engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior. Lentz faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines if found guilty of the offense.
