Area FFA Students Take To The Hill

Last Thursday, more than 300 high school students from 51 schools across the state traveled to the Capitol for the 34th Annual FFA Day on the Hill. During the morning, FFA members heard from Iowa Secretary of Agriculture, Mike Naig, and Kelsey Tyrell with the World Food Prize. During the day, students also met with Iowa Farm Bureau Federation President, Craig Hill, and Lt. Gov., Adam Gregg, read the proclamation declaring Feb. 16 through Feb 23 as FFA Week in Iowa. During that time, several of the area FFA members also met with their Iowa District 12 House Representative, Brian Best.
