During National 4-H week in October, the Arcadia Energetics club began their annual tradition of collecting stuffed toys to distribute to children being treated at St. Anthony Regional Hospital. The 4-Hers not only accepted donations, they also worked at Godfather’s Pizza and Pizza Ranch in Carroll to raise money to add to the gifts received from area residents. On Sunday, Nov. 11, the club presented the 145 stuffed toys collected. Staff at St. Anthony will give these to children who are patients in the clinic, emergency department and surgery center or who are admitted to the hospital. “This was our third year of collecting toys and doing this service project,” says Oliva Tomka, Arcadia Energetics club president. “With this year’s count, we have donated 550 toys to the hospital. We hope the kids coming to St. Anthony will love the stuffed animal they receive and feel better soon.”
