Application Deadline For Next Round Of Sac County Endowment Foundation Grants Is Oct. 25

The application deadline for the next round of Sac County Endowment Foundation (SCEF) grants is just over three weeks from now. The foundation receives funding from Iowa Gaming revenues each year. Seventy-five percent of those funds are used to finance projects within Sac County, and the remaining 25 percent is set aside in a permanent endowment fund to attract additional donations and provide a solid base for continued charitable contributions. Previous years’ grants have been awarded to projects which address community needs and issues or provide opportunities to worthwhile endeavors in the county. Interested applicants should contact Foundation President, Dawn Potthoff, using the contact points included with this story on our website for application materials. Submissions are due to the office of John D. Morrow at 109 Main Street in Wall Lake by 12 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25.

Message from the SCEF: “The SCEF does not fund ongoing project support or operating support, annual and capital campaigns, budget deficit or reduction of debt, fund of completed projects or those that have already been started, or other endowments, individuals, recurring funds, vehicles or religious purposes. Only 50 percent of a project can be funded with endowment foundation money and you must be able to provide matching dollars with documentation of the source.”
