The Westside and Vail Fire Departments are partnering in a special bike safety program next week in Westside. On Saturday, Aug. 17, children five years old and over may bring their bicycle along for a safety check and then take part in an informational program. Children’s helmets will be given to attendees, as long as they last. The firefighters will be holding two sessions on that Saturday, one beginning at 9 a.m. and another at 10:30 a.m.
