Adams Street Parking Project Returns To The Agenda For CCSD School Board’s First Meeting Of FY2020

The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education meets tomorrow (Monday) for their opening meeting of Fiscal Year (FY) 2020. It will also be Dr. Casey Berlau’s first meeting as superintendent, and he says he is already looking forward to the upcoming school year.

The board will open with approval of the consent agenda and public forum before moving into administrative reports. They will consider renewing several agreements with area organizations, including the North Central Consortium School in Webster County and St. Anthony Regional Hospital, discuss substitute teacher pay and introduce several new policies. According to Berlau, the board also plans to discuss what their legislative priorities will be for the 2019-2020 school year.

The board then moves into the business office reports, which includes the appointment of a board secretary/treasurer, the naming of bank depositories and several bids for equipment and projects within the district. Berlau says the proposed Adams Street parking/crosswalk project is also on the agenda.

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 22 at the Adams Elementary School boardroom. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. The full agenda can be found included with this story on our website.
