On the heels of the second Democratic presidential debate, former Maryland Congressman, John Delaney, will be “barnstorming” the state of Iowa at the beginning of August. A six-day trip will cover hundreds of miles with Delaney appearing at more than 30 events, including local meet-and-greets. The first event in the listening area is the Economics of Soybeans and Cover Crops discussion, from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 1769 B Ave. in Rippey. The Carroll County Democrats will also be hosting their event on Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., at Queen Beans Coffee House in Carroll. The following day, Wednesday, Aug. 7, Delaney will be visiting with area residents at the Coon Bowl III in Coon Rapids from noon to 1:30 p.m. He will then travel for another meet-and-greet with Sac City Democrats at the Sac City Rec Center on Wednesday from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. This is Delaney’s second trip to Carroll County, having passed through in late January as he worked to make campaign stops in all 99 Iowa counties.
