2020 Democratic Presidential Candidate, John Delaney, Continues To Make Iowa A Top Priority In Campaign For White House

The 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries already have a number of candidates who have announced their campaigns, with several more looking to throw their name into the hat, and the first person who did so, former Maryland Sixth District U.S. House Representative, John Delaney, is visiting western Iowa this week. Delaney launched his campaign in July of 2017 and is putting a heavy emphasis on Iowa and its first-in-the-nation caucuses.

Delaney served as a U.S. Representative for six years and allowed his term to expire on Jan. 3 in order to spend more time on the campaign trail. Prior to serving in Congress, Delaney founded two businesses, Health Care Financial Partners and CapitalSource, which focused on providing loans and financial services to small businesses and healthcare providers. Delaney says that has given him a direct connection to the concerns of rural Iowans.

Delaney says there are a number of issues that will be major topics of interest leading up to the 2020 presidential election, but according to him, the biggest one is the stark political divide in the U.S.

Delaney made his comments while traveling through western Iowa, making stops in Council Bluffs, Sioux City, Glenwood, Denison and Fort Dodge. Carroll Broadcasting will bring you more from Delaney in upcoming broadcasts.
