Today (Monday) will mark the first day of work on the Carroll Public Library and City Hall renovation project. Asbestos removal is the first step of the process and begins Monday at the former Commercial Savings Bank building on North Adams Street. This will become the new City Hall. The asbestos remediation is estimated to take approximately two weeks to complete at both sites. Badding Construction was awarded the bid for the project in a special city council meeting last week. The total cost of $4,526,100 includes the base bid and two alternates. Badding is scheduled to being their work at both sites on Oct. 15.
