Western Iowa Networks (WIN) is giving back to its roots. WIN’s corporate offices are located in Breda, where it began as Breda Telephone Company in 1905, and late last week, they presented a check to the Breda Rec League for the benefit of the town’s residents. The $35,000 donation will be used to support the building of a new concession stand in Memorial Park. The roughly 52’ by 16’ concession will feature two handicap-accessible restrooms, equipment storage space and a shaded area to sit and eat. Jeff Roiland, WIN CEO, says “We are excited to invest in all the communities we serve, and being able to continue and enhance the efforts of the Breda Recreation League by providing modern amenities to the over 70-year-old ball park that is one of the few of its kind in the Midwest was just fitting for our community.” The improvements will provide the Breda Little League the ability to expand offerings, including more healthy choices, thereby increasing revenue.
